چکیده

The Qiongdongnan Basin is an important gas hydrate exploration area in the South China Sea, but accumulation process poorly understood. By selecting Lingshui (LS) target and using first-hand geochemical data, three-dimensional seismic independent thermal insulation pressure maintaining shipborne core analysis system, this study, comprehensive geological evaluation was carefully conducted around source reservoir of chimney hydrates, investigated. Geochemical data for a total 47 sets samples revealed that hydrates study mainly thermogenic supplemented by mixed gas. It predicted contribution to up 70%. Using characteristics low-temperature combustible were determined, characterized as non-diagenetic weakly diagenetic, rich clay silt (D50 = 15.1–34.1 ?m), self-sustaining, strongly heterogeneous. Based on differentiated response layer-gas bearing layer-shallow layer at top chimney, determined be follows: remote transportation, local microbial genetic accumulation, episodic dynamic formation, source-reservoir control. In addition, ideas effective supply from shallow large-scale sand body are emphasized. results provide reference trial production natural Sea.

Palaeoenvironment and Its Control on the Formation of Miocene Marine Source Rocks in the Qiongdongnan Basin, Northern South China Sea

The main factors of the developmental environment of marine source rocks in continental margin basins have their specificality. This realization, in return, has led to the recognition that the developmental environment and pattern of marine source rocks, especially for the source rocks in continental margin basins, are still controversial or poorly understood. Through the analysis of the trace ...

DIAGENESIS AND RESERVOIR QUALITY EVOLUTION OF SHELF-MARGIN SANDSTONES IN PEARL RIVER MOUTH BASIN, SOUTH CHINA SEA

A study of the diagenetic evolution of sandstones from Panyu low-uplift in the Pearl River Mouth Basin was carried out to unravel the controls on shelf margin sandstone reservoir quality. The reservoir rocks, Oligocene volcanic clastic sandstones of the Zhuhai Formation, have a burial depth of 2765 to 3440 m. 70 samples were studied using the granulometric analyses, X-ray diffraction (XRD) anal...

Recurrent slope failure and submarine channel incision as key factors controlling reservoir potential in the South China Sea (Qiongdongnan Basin, South Hainan Island)

High-resolution multi-beam bathymetry, 3D and 2D seismic reflection profiles from the South China Sea are used to investigate the morphology, characteristics, origin and implications to petroleum systems of recurrent slope failure in the Qiongdongnan Basin, northern South China Sea. Seven Late Miocene-Holocene mass-transport deposits (MTDs) and numerous submarine canyons were identified on the ...

Benthic fluxes of dissolved organic carbon from gas hydrate sediments in the northern South China Sea

Hydrocarbon vents have recently been reported to contribute considerable amounts of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) to the oceans. Many such hydrocarbon vents widely exist in the northern South China Sea (NSCS). To investigate if these hydrocarbon vent sites release DOC, we used a real-time video multiple-corer to collect bottom seawater and surface sediments at vent sites. We analyzed concentra...

Similarity Analysis in Scaling a Gas Hydrates Reservoir

A complete set of scaling criteria for gas hydrate reservoir of five-spot well system case is derived from the 3D governing equations, involving the mass balance equation, the energy balance equation, the kinetic model, the endothermic model and the phase equilibrium model. In the scaling criteria, the key parameters of the experiment are the water/gas production rates, the water injection rate...
